The Carrot & Orange Beauty Bar is the signature product of Forma, a beauty products company that makes a small line of soaps, bath salts, and bath oils using fruit and vegetable combinations. They wanted a visual identity refresh with new packaging and to also launch three new products.

The current packaging for the Carrot & Orange Beauty Bar has been used since 1990 with only minor modifications over the years. They want to replace the old-fashioned style of artwork and launch a new product line and brand.
Initially they only had one product… the Carrot & Orange Beauty Bar, but are now looking to launch a complete range of products, including; Tomato & Red Plum Bath Gel; Spinach & Lime Bath Oil; and Red Pepper & Strawberry Facial Scrub.
The target audience for Forma products is women. Currently, the primary consumers for this product are 21 to 30-year-old women. The company hopes to attract a wider range of women, including teenage girls — by giving their product line fresh, new packaging that appeals to both younger women and their current customer base.
“Luke expressed a thorough understanding of the design process – successfully navigating from preliminary research, through to concept sketches, design development and completing a finished visual of the final product. With regular creative reviews, Luke took direction well and incorporated feedback into his work whilst regularly asking questions to challenge the brief and seeking ways in which he could improve his designs.” – Jennifer Doran, Senior Designer – Saltmine Design
